I would feel shared saying that while I appreciated the many elements of the switch design – I struggled with joy-cons. They felt so minute in my hand, and in total I just felt they were uncomfortable and hard to use. The cons are what caused me to love the switch.
I have ordered this controller while I look at it – and I have no regrets. It's the same as I expected. As for its size and the fact that they cause the switch to play as a wider grip - this is a controller that presents itself like a full-size console controller - how to re-be able to do it without causing a wider switch? With that said – the feel of this thing is like an Xbox controller only divided in two.
So related to what you hope is by far the best solution for people like me – people who want the feel of a full size console controller while playing the switch as a handheld. I'm using a Pro controller while the switch is tethered, and this is my new portable setting.
Yes, you are still able to charge the energy switch in this joint dock attached. No, there's no rumbling. This controller doesn't have a battery, so you don't charge it. But it's responsive and too natural a feeling. I sat down to try it & the rest of the four-hour play from Dragon's Dogma.
